Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Casablanca - Rabat - Meknes

When you arrive, we will pick you up from your Riad/hotel. After that, we will start 8 days tour from Casablanca by visiting the Hassan II mosque. It is the only mosque open to non-Muslims. Besides, the Hassan II mosque is among the first introduction of Moorish influences in Moroccan country. King Hassan II built the mosque between 1987 and 1993. In addition to that, the mosque can take 25,000 worshipers inside and 80,000 worshipers outside on its main square.

Thereafter, we will head to Rabat to visit its historical attractions, like Chellahkasabah. On this site, you will see a fascinating mixture of Roman and Marinid remains. Next, you will visit the unfinished mosque of Hassan Tower and the Mohamed V Mausoleum. After visiting Rabat, we will move to Meknes city. It is the city of Sultan Moulay Ismael who built it in the 18th century. It is famous for its beautiful gates, mosques and madrasas. Overnight is in Meknes city + Breakfast.

Day 2: Meknes - Volubilis - Fes

After breakfast, you will begin visiting Meknes sites, like SahrijSwani. Here, it was a place where they used to store food and water for the “black army” of Sultan Moulay Ismail. Besides, you visit his Mausoleum where to enjoy the Andalusian design. Next, you will see the great gate of Bab Mansour.

Later, we will drive only 30 km from Meknes to visit Volubilis. It is an archaeological Roman site that was classified within the UNESCO sites in 1997. You will admire the stunning mosaics, hundreds of Latin inscriptions and art materials. Then, we head to Fes city and have this night in a Riad + Breakfast.

Day 3: Fes City Tour

On 8 days tour from Casablanca, you have a city tour in Fes. So, after you have breakfast, you will meet our local guide to explore Fes. It is the intellectual and cultural capital of the kingdom. Hence, it is a great chance to discover the ancient medieval Medina of Fes. Its old Medina is a maze with more than 9000 alleys.

Also, its streets are full of colourful items and donkeys, carrying goods. Besides, you will see many hand-made objects because Fes is the first city of handicrafts as it was previously with the same materials.

Later on, you visit the tanneries. They are the oldest ones where you will see locals working on skins of some animals like camel, goat and cow. Then, you will also enjoy the local cuisine dishes of Fes. Moreover, you will enjoy a panoramic view of the whole city in the south tower. And you visit the pottery cooperative where they make Moroccan tiles and mosaic. After visits to all sites, you have another night in the same Riad + Breakfast.

Day 4: Fes - Ifrane - Azrou - Midelt - Desert of Merzouga

We will leave Fes city after breakfast. Thus, we will head to another different location in Morocco. We will cross the Middle Atlas and stop to visit Ifrane or in a small Switzerland city. It is a ski resort in the country. This Atlas offers amazing landscapes of mountains and plains. After that, we will explore special species of indigenous monkeys that live in the cedar forests. There are approximately 30 members of the monkey family in Azrou. Furthermore, we will have lunch in Midelt town. This town celebrates the apple festival every year. Finally, we will visit Ziz valley and move to Erfoud and Merzouga desert. You will ride your camel and spend a night in a desert camp.

Day 5: Merzouga - Todra Gorges - Dades Gorges - Skoura - Ouarzazate

Continuing 8 days tour from Casablanca is after breakfast. So, from the desert, we head to Rissani and visit an old irrigation system in the oasis of Jorf. Another stop will be on the way to Tinejdad and Touroug. Your lunch will be in the Todra Gorges after we arrive there. It is a long valley with palms groves and gorges. They are ideal sites for climbing and picnics activities. Thereafter, we drive to Dades Valley where there is an amazing Rock Formation made by millions of years of erosion. After that, we pass over Rose Valley. It is the only place in Morocco where they pick roses. Locals extract products from roses, such as rose water and rose oil. They are good for skin treatment and others. Finally, we visit Skoura and drive to Ouarzazate for a night and dinner.

Day 6: Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Telouet - Marrakech

In the morning, you will visit two main places in this city. Firstly, you will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt which is a true image of Berber architecture. It is made of clay and straw. Secondly, you will the Movie Studio were there many film materials. Next, we will head to Ait Ben Haddou to visit this ancient site. It is a UNESCO village where movie credits, such as Lawrence of Arabia and Jesus of Nazareth were filmed. From here, we will go to the Kasbah of Telouet. It was built by the lord of the Atlas, Thami Pasha. it was a commercial centre of caravans, too. Finally, we will go north of the High Atlas Mountains through Tizi-N-T’ichka (2260m). It is the spectacular road of mountains and Berber villages. Then, we arrive in Marrakech and have this night in Riad/Hotel.

Day 7: Marrakech City Tour

As usual, 8 days tour from Casablanca offers a city tour in Marrakech. You will meet a local guide for a city tour around Marrakech. Thus, you will visit the Bahia Palace with its magnificent mosaics and frescoes. You will also learn about the history of 4 wives and 24 concubines. Thereafter, you will admire the architectural Saadian Tomb and the Royal necropolis. They date back to the 17 century.

Then, you will have a good time in the famous souks of Marrakech. There, you will enjoy the smells of spices, see the colours and crafts. Next, you visit T Majorelle Garden that is a peaceful place in the new city. It offers exotic plants from all over the world. The indigo blue colour dominates the wall paint. Finally, you will end your tour in Jamaa El Fena Square. It is an active place where you explore snake charmers, monkeys, food stalls, musicians and more, Overnight in Riad/Hotel + Breakfast.

Day 8: Marrakech - Casablanca

On this last day, we will transfer you to the airport in Casablanca or Marrakech. And it will be the end of 8 days tour from Casablanca.
